Bookings
Extending or shortening a guest's stay
Change check-in / check-out dates without breaking the OTA calendar.
Guest decided to stay one more night? Or check out a day early? You can change a booking's dates in one place — the calendar, the OTAs, and the invoice all update.
How to do it
- Open the booking from the calendar or the bookings list
- Scroll to Change dates
- Adjust check-in and / or check-out — or use the quick shortcuts (−1 night, +1 night, +1 week)
- Click Save dates
What happens behind the scenes
- The booking's dates are updated
- The total price recalculates from the original nightly rate × new number of nights (so extending one night adds one night's worth of revenue — you can tweak manually after if needed)
- The new availability is pushed to your channel manager so the OTAs see the change (no risk of a double booking on the extended night)
- The calendar updates immediately for you and your team
What if the new dates overlap another booking?
We block the save and tell you which booking is in the way. Move that booking first, then come back.
Limitations
- Can't change dates on a booking that's already CHECKED OUT, CANCELLED or NO-SHOW (would break the invoice trail)
- For OTA bookings the change happens locally + on the channel manager, but the original OTA reservation keeps its original dates. If you're modifying because the guest changed their mind via the OTA, that's fine — the OTA will resync. If the guest contacted you directly and you took payment separately, the OTA won't know, which is the standard behaviour.
